I didn't love Maria's last two singles, but I new she had it in her to do awesome rock songs. I'm glad that's what she decided to base this album on, instead of just generic pop =) I can't decide what my favorites are >_< Getaway is similar to her singles as in it's a upbeat rock pop song. Crazy for you (I like this one a lot) and Ai wo Sakebou also are upbeat pop rock songs. I like how she puts attitude in the songs. I don't care if she's trying to be like Avril.. I wish Avril would go back to acoustic rock =/ Then there's I hate you. which is seriously angry. I like this one =P Too Late is sort of jazzy and Arigatou.. Gomen ne is a mid-tempo ballad. Inori is definitely the best ballad on here, it's pretty epic. And a special shout out to Dear My Sherry, which is totally bubblegum pop but it's just too addicting >_< This album is a recommended listen. =) Enjoy! Buy this album. Single: don't cry anymore (new release) Artist: Miwa Language: Japanese 01- don't cry anymore 02- Megurugawa 03- Wake Up, Break Out! Comments: Someone mentioned Miwa in the chat box. Yeah see, I read that =P She's a new artist debuting with this single. I heard a PV rip of this earlier but didn't put it up on the last rotation. Well, here she is! This is definitely an A+ debut song. It's actually similar to Maria's music (above). I really hope pop rock is making a comeback in Japan. That would be awesome. Miwa has a really typical Japanese pop singer voice, but I still enjoy the music. The instrumentals are amazing. Megurugawa is a very happy spring-is-coming song :P Wake Up, Break Out! continues the pop-rock trend, and is really upbeat and fast-paced. Definitely listen to Miwa =D Buy this single. Single: Sakura Ame / READY FOR LOVE / S.H.E. / Last Kiss (new release) Artist: JUJU Language: Japanese 01- Sakura Ame 02- READY FOR LOVE 03- S.H.E. 04- Last Kiss Comments: Here's the rest of JUJU's album. Sakura Ame was definitely the strongest song on here, but the others are still decent. READY FOR LOVE is a really typical R&B JUJU song. I'm trying to figure out how I've heard it before -- maybe it's her singing that always sounds the same. S.H.E. is a lot slower and I think I like it better. It has nice instrumentals. Last Kiss I believe is a cover of a BONNIE PINK song. Right? I know it's a cover though. I've never heard the original but I hope the BONNIE PINK version is better. JUJU's voice is just always the same in every song. =/ I feel bad saying that because she has an amazing voice, but.. yeah. This song is still good though! Buy this single. Single: Keropak (new release) Artist: Hirahara Ayaka Language: Japanese 01- Keropak 02- Spain (Bunkamura Studio Live Recording) 03- Keropak (HIRARA Remix @ Keronboshi) Comments: Here's to all the Ayaka fans! Ayaka is doing some more classical covers. This one in particular is based on Tchaikovsky's Danse Russe (Trepak). You'll definitely recognize the melody right away. The song's a little bit on crack or something =P I'm still trying to decide whether or not I like how Ayaka sings it. They combine it with a lot of jazz too. Anyways, this song is crazy but kind of addicting XD The ending is hilarious too. Buy this single.
